Description

velvety core of black cherries

chalky finish from the limestone soils

spring flowers and spice

indeed even tender mouth feel to the lightly mineral-inflected medium weight flavors that display a touch of salinity on the delicious if slightly warm finish

The tannins are a bit youthfully tough and a bit less noble than those of the 2012 version

Patrick Javillier, Meursault Clousot other_regions_italy velvety core of black cherries(the name is a play on words as this is a . 60 ha blend of two vineyards, Les Clous and Crotots). Here too the wood influence is discreet and easily allows the ripe and airy aromas of apple, pear, olive oil and citrus elements to shine. There is excellent punch and an almost pungent minerality on the youthfully austere and firm finish that exhibits lovely balance. This is a bigger but not finer wine than the Tillets and is also lovely.
